Paulo Dandrea
What can I say? I played electric bass for a few years in several bands here in Sao Paulo, played from an experimental jazz nosense to death metal . However, in Brazil, making money with music is almost impossible, especially if you do something very different from the mainstream, so the bands never succeeded, because no one had time for because a band was going to attend and one because it would work.
So good was able to have access to music on my computer, because this way I can do everything alone. And i do it for love.
About my music and my work (photography abstract- http://www.paulodandrea.com/) do exactly what I miss in the world. Today, the vast majority of people make a copy of what they know by the major mass media. What I miss are new ideas.By the same token, my traks take the form of ideas.
But I can say that there was a problem of motivation, since none of my friends like my music. And it was on SoundCloud I found my motivation, since here there are dozens of musicians who must have thought similar to mine: "Music has to be a trip to an unusual place, like a trip. If the music does not stop be just part of everyday life, like taking the train and go to work, everything always the same. "
Of course, I'm still away from my goal, I have no perfect technique to expose sounds coming from my brain or my body, but I hope to get there.
But I must explain that the music is written "detuned portable studio" is a collaboration with Ricardo Cabral (aka fudisterik), another Brazilian who i met at SoundCloud. And I must also say that he is largely responsible for my motivation, a light at the end of the tunnel. "I found a Brazilian who likes my music."
